Markhor became a platinum sponsor for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Peshawar, supporting children and families affected by cancer.
What Shaukat Khanum is
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre treats cancer patients in Pakistan, and a large share of its patients are treated free of charge, funded by donations. Its Peshawar hospital serves Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the areas around it — a region where families previously travelled a long way for cancer care.
Why this one
Markhor was built in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Of everything a company based there can put money behind, a cancer hospital serving its own province is among the few where the benefit is unambiguous and the need is permanent.
This is the clearest piece of corporate social responsibility in the brand’s programme: no product placement, no campaign attached, no claim made about any drink.
The wider programme
Markhor’s other community work covers youth sport, university championships and entrepreneurship. See it all in CSR Activities, or read brand announcements in Stories.
